The pups are growing up so quickly! They are three weeks old and now just playing and tumbling around like "regular" puppies. They are still nursing and probably next week I will introduce them to solid food. The children enjoy playing with the pups at this age, they are still gentle enough to play with all at once. In a couple weeks it won't be as easy because puppies love going for toes and fingers and clothing!

Abby's pups are born 9/12/14!
Abby had her puppies in the early am of 9/12! Each one is a very light yellow. There are 9 of them and all are so beautiful. They are a couple days old and already the black pigment is coming into their noses and paw pads. They are so incredibly sweet and are snuggled under and around Abby most of the time. Abby has been such a good Mama I can't even say what a joy it has been to have a litter with this special dog.

Rules of 7
We have two litters of puppies currently on the ground who are about a week apart. Today I brought them outside for a bit so I could change out the whelping boxes and newspapers, as you can imagine puppies poop ALOT...more than you can probably imagine, so it was nice to be able to put them on the grass and get their areas clean rather than moving them into one area in the house to clean the other to turn around and have to clean up the temporary area...having pups outside is one of the nice things about Summer pups! :)
My children also enjoy playing with the pups in their play yard as we have slides and different play structures for the pups. It's very good for the pups to have a variety of different experiences while they are still very young. With my own puppies I follow the rules of 7
